# Vacha Privacy Policy

Vacha is a browser extension that displays a romanization of Devanagari words when you hover over them.

## Page text

Vacha reads the Devanagari word under your pointer. When automatic language selection is enabled, it also checks the page language and nearby text to choose language rules. This processing happens locally in your browser. Vacha does not send page text to a server or persist it after processing.

## Settings

Vacha stores your enabled state and selected language rules in Chrome's local extension storage. These settings stay on your device and are not transmitted to Vacha or another service.

## Clipboard

The Copy button writes the displayed romanization to your clipboard only after you click it.

## Analytics and third parties

Vacha has no analytics, advertising, or third-party network services.
